that will stay in the north. dense fog in some areas and the north bay napa is down to zero visibility. the fog is hugging the bay stores in parts of the inland valleys and will clear pretty quickly. by 10:00 a.m. lots of sunshine and will stay clear throughout the day. drive evening mostly clear conditions as well. we're still dealing with upper 30's the santa rosa 39 and up to vallejo and nevada mid-40s for the east bay stores and a 9:00 a.m. we are expecting to be sitting in widespread '50s. by your lunch hour it will be similar to yesterday. low 60s. after nine highs, mainly 60s for the east asia or south bay upper 60s the north bay but not low 60s as well. 63 in santa rosa 63 for the not know 62 for not know and downtown 7 cisco. 7 day around the bay shows as we have is light warm-up as store for us as we finish up the work week. mid-40s rios and the bay and early back up to the bay bridge toll plaza fasttrack >> it is only backed up into of the lanes. the other two are just fine. a meeting lights are active but the speeds have certainly in probes across the upper deck. i live look at the

.m.. napa as well as fairfield are affected by this dense fog. you can see where this is sitting in the north bay as well as the bay shore area. by 10:00 a.m. we are expected clear skies and it will stay this way for the rest of the after dole. afternos 37 degrees and napa and upper 30's for sunnyvale. that afternoon highs will warm-up to the '60s. it will be 60 degrees for your east bay shore and along the peninsula. 62 degrees is expected for downtown san francisco. there will be plenty of sunshine outside but it will get down to about low 20s. >> for the 7 day around the bay will be plenty of sunshine for the work week. on wednesday there may be showers. >> the rain has stopped, but the problems persist. this is especially for the santa cruz mountains. vine hill road is opened again now but only to one lane of traffic. the slide that washed out the road in scotts valley, is the latest on a long list the road repair projects and the list gets longer with each new storm. there is damage to a least 26 different roles. from the summit to the soquel some of them are dating back alm

40's in the north bay valley. santa rosa and napa. we have upper 40's to lo's right around the bay. chilly overnight period. move on to the forecast feature chilly overnight with patchy valley fog cold in a few spots. sunny weekend with milder weather on sunday and cooler by midweek next week check out the low down to 35 santa rosa 36 napa 37 at fairfield not too wide spread and location is closer to the bay and coast. see low in the mid 40's overnight tonight. on we go to the satellite radar composite image that show as very large ridge of high pressure taking control of the weather picture next several days. this will give us milder weather through the weaned and into early next wee week. move along with our forecast animation 11:00 o'clock tonight. fog will chicken and spread through the central valley then spill in through the delta carquinez strait into pockets in our interior valley and east bay north bay so that's why we see some patchy fog over night. but again not wide sprae. tomorrow afternoon mainly sunny skies. a little milder. high pressure in the south bay.

warmer this morning except for napa and concord where you still are dropping into the 30s. even at 38 santa rosa is a couple degrees warmer. san francisco 47. good morning redwood city, 48. 49 in mountain view and a mild, relatively speaking, 50 in san jose. that's five degrees above where you were yesterday but it's really fremont and livermore that are experiencing the much warmer conditions. not much change-up in san rafael, and subtle changes along the coast in san francisco. boy, a pretty mild to start out. just in the last hour numbers coming up along the shoreline. we will look for a little bit of fog here and there, but overall with the cloudy skies this morning that's keeping us a little warmer. then by the afternoon the winds will take over and that's going to usher in a slightly milder air mass. high pressure over the bay area continues to bring that sub continuance and that warming today and tomorrow. but by tuesday it will be coming to a screeching halt as we look for another wind shift. the temperatures will drop and then we will look for showers to head our way late tue

open again. >>> 6:04. flood warnings for the napa river were canceled. some residents prepared for the worst though emptying sandbags around their properties. heavy rainstorms of course brought the water level within three feet of going over its banks. but it did not crest. this was the russian river in guerneville over the weekend. flood warnings were also canceled there. the river crested at 16 feet about an hour ago. the highest recorded flood in guerneville occurred in 1986 when that river reached a monstrous number of feet, 49 feet. that must have been something. >>> and the flood threat for the truckee river in california, nevada, is over, as well. the storm turned out to be colder than expected turning a lot of the rain to snow and dropping snow levels down to 7,000 feet. truckee river is now expected to crest below flood stage. >>> the good news is i think we are getting a break from all this weather. >> yeah. no rain today. we are going to get some showers during the week but nothing like over the weekend. >> no. i mean, those were amazing totals we saw from the storms

, the napa river, the russian river, let us show you on stormtracker 4. this moderate weather cell over milpitas, highway 680. on the peninsula, it is wet. all the way to sunnyvale is wet in the east bay, concord, walnut creek, san ramon, light/moderate. south of highway no. 4, brentwood. and also north, of richmond, san rafael, it will continue to be widespread but moderate rainfall tonight and tomorrow. rainfall totals in the past 24 hours. there was one system that moved out and this third system the combination of totals in the last 24 hours. the north bay sought about 2 in. in st. helena. just one- tenth of 1 in. in dublin. and oakland, just a little bit over three tenths of 1 in. but there is more on the way. scattered showers and a high wind advisory by 10:00 p.m. the heaviest rainfall will be late tonight and early tomorrow. it is going to be windy but the good news is that there will be a decrease in showers. more of the flash flood warning and what we can expect on that sunday. when the dry conditions will return. >> there is one east bay community against one east bay communi

. and this definitely is resulting in the north bay where we have 34 this morning santa rosa, 37 napa and 38 livermore and the warmer numbers here from oakland to san francisco. and there is fog around half moon bay. but most of the fog has been confined in the north bay, from novato to santa rosa, concord, and now it's creeping through fairfield. quarter mile visibility. be careful out there. it will be with us through about 8:00. here's this morning the northeast winds are transporting the fog through the delta. the east bay, half moon bay, san francisco, but it does dissipate by about 8:00, 9:00 so it should be pretty nice afternoon with plenty of sunshine. still the northeast winds with us. that will lead to mild temperatures. a little cooler in our east bay where the winds are blowing. otherwise we will look for more sunshine today, tomorrow, into the early part of the week and the next weatherer comes from the north. doesn't look like a big system but we are watching high pressure as it builds into the eastern pacific. as it does, the next couple of days we are going to gain a couple of degrees

some 30s this morning. chilly in napa. cloudy and a warmer day today and tomorrow. cooler weather heads our way on tuesday and with that we will look for a storm system to arrive on wednesday. it's a fast mover. anywhere from a quarter of an inch to three quarters of an inch of rain is anticipated for wednesday into thursday in the north bay. high temperatures today in the 60s. that's a little bit above normal. we should be in the upper 50s, to about 60. so a modest warmup today and tomorrow. and that's due to a slight offshore flow compliments of a ridge of high pressure that is building in to the eastern pacific, and as it does we are looking at that flow bringing some gusty winds down from the higher elevations. and also with the setup like this we are looking for a high fire danger in san diego. so really much of california will be dominated by this area of high pressure which deflects the storm systems to the north and brings that sustenance and dryer, warmer air our way. fast forwarding into tuesday night, 9:00, we have rain in sonoma county, and by wednesday, before the morning c

warnings for the napa river were canceled yesterday afternoon to the relief of those nearby. some residents prepared for the worst putting sandbags around their properties. heavy rain brought the water level to three feet of going over the banks. >>> this is the russian river in guerneville over the weekend. flood warnings were cancelled. the river crested at 6 feet about an hour -- 16 feet about an hour ago. the highest recorded flood occurred in 1986 when the river reached 49 feet. >>> strong wind also caused a lot of problems. we have a broken power pole in san francisco sunset district leaving 8500 people without electricity yesterday. it was one of multiple incidents where trees or power polls brought down power lines. the latest outages show a 650 homes in the north bay without power and around 600 in the south bay as well as others. >>> rain opened up a large pothole on westbound 4 in pittsburg blamed for flattening the tires of two dozen cars yesterday. that's no fun. crews shut down the lane while they made those emergency repairs. it's now open again. >>> this is just a good remin

tonight 47. napa 47. oakland down to 51. you will wake up tomorrow morning to 49 in redwood city and mountain view, san jose 50. a little above normal because of the cloud cover that's moving in. so there is another weather system heading to the bay area. there is also juice in the atmosphere and there's an area of high pressure that's sendingle storm track just far enough to the north that the heavier rainfall will move into far northern california and we are just going to get some light to moderate rainfall. it's a subtle change but enough of a change to alleviate flooding concerns around here in the bay area. so we have a storm system moving by tomorrow. we'll have a front dragging through but any heavy rainfall will likely stay away. you're just going to get plain old rainfall. that's it. on-and-off rain throughout the day. flooding not a concern. this is the long- range outlook. the entire west coast from oregon to mexico is forecast to be drier than normal so you want some dry weather clear things out? after wednesday we look dry for a while. tomorrow tuesday highs in the l

helena, ayer se registraron inundaciones repentinas en muchas calles.. el rio de napa llego a niveles elevados.. sin embargo, hoy la lluvia ha parado y el rio regresa a la normalidad. en total, las tres tormentas que comenzaron desde el miercoles dejaron mas de 15 pulgadas de lluvia en las montaÑas de santa cruz, unas 3 pulgadas en oakland y casi cuatro en san francisco. en el sur de la bahia, una calle inundada tuvo que ser cerrada en san jose donde tambien se registraron otros inconvenientes.. vientos de hasta 60 millas por hora y fuertes lluvias derribaron lineas electricas y provocaron cortes de energia en todo el area de la bahia.. al menos unas 339 mil viviendas se vieron afectadas.. la tarde del domingo, alrededor de 7 mil 400 hogares seguian sin electricidad, incluidos alrededor de 90 en san francisco y mil 900 en el este de la bahia.. el mal tiempo tambien provoco que 183 vuelos fueron cancelados en el aeropuerto internacional de san francisco, entre el viernes y el domingo.. outro ---se espera que la lluvia regrese al area de la bahia en los proximos dias.. ---es todo de mi
